Why it works

AI assistants recommend what they can read and trust.

An assistant doesn't “know” your app. It answers from pages: the ones it finds when it searches, and the ones it learned from. So the job is to be on the right pages, described the right way.

1. A buyer asks

“Best budgeting app for couples?”

2. The assistant searches and reads

Top search results“Best apps” listsReddit threadsStore listingsApp websites

3. It names a few apps

The ones those pages agree on

Pages that rank in search

When an assistant browses to answer a question, it runs a web search and reads the top results. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini all do some form of this. A page that ranks for the question is a page the assistant reads.

"Best apps" lists and reviews

For “what's the best app for…” questions, assistants lean on roundups, comparisons and review sites, because those pages already did the comparing. Being on them puts you in the answer.

Your App Store and Play listing

Store listings are well-structured, trusted pages. Your title, subtitle and description are often how an assistant decides what your app is for, and the words it uses to describe you.

Reddit and Quora threads

Real people asking for recommendations and answering each other are a strong signal. Assistants frequently cite those threads, especially for niche questions.

Your own website

A clear page that answers the exact question, says who the app is for and links to the download is easy to quote. Many apps don't have one at all.

Crawlers being allowed in

If robots.txt blocks GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot, or there's no sitemap, the best page in the world never gets read. llms.txt and schema make it easier still.

The short version: rank for the question, be on the lists, be in the threads, have a clear listing and a clear website, and let the crawlers in. SuvyRank works on all six, every week.

Step by step

What SuvyRank does, and what you do.

Most of the work is ours. Your part is mostly reviewing and saying yes.

01

Find the questions

Start from what buyers actually ask, not keywords you guess.

SuvyRank

  • Reads your App Store, Google Play or website listing and works out your category, use cases and competitors
  • Suggests the questions people ask AI about that category, which you can edit
  • Asks each one on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity with web search on, like a real user
  • Records whether you were recommended, your position, how you were described, who won instead and every cited URL

You

  • Paste your link
  • Approve or edit the prompts
02

Write the answers

Every gap becomes a page that answers the question well and sends people to your download page.

SuvyRank

  • Plans articles from AI gaps and search keywords: best-of, comparison, alternative and how-to formats
  • Writes each one with Claude against your verified feature list, so it doesn't invent features or prices
  • Adds your App Store, Google Play or sign-up call to action, an FAQ, and Article and FAQ schema
  • Publishes to your own site through a connector, or to a hosted blog where it lands in your sitemap and llms.txt automatically

You

  • Set your writing rules once
  • Review drafts, then publish or schedule them
03

Get cited and listed

Your own pages are half of it. The other half is being present where AI already looks.

SuvyRank

  • Finds the review sites and “best apps” lists each engine cited for your questions, with author contacts where public
  • Drafts a short, specific pitch for each one
  • Finds Reddit and Quora threads asking for an app like yours and drafts helpful, disclosed replies
  • Reviews your store listing and suggests a clearer title, subtitle and description

You

  • Send the pitches
  • Post the replies yourself, as you
  • Paste in listing changes you like
04

Re-check every week

AI answers change as the sources change. So you measure, every week.

SuvyRank

  • Re-asks every tracked question on all four engines every Monday
  • Crawls your site for robots.txt, sitemap, llms.txt and schema issues
  • Refreshes outreach targets and community threads from the new answers
  • Emails a weekly report with Search Console, GA4 and App Store Connect alongside

You

  • Read the report
  • Pick the next gaps to close, or ask Suvy AI to

FAQ

Good questions.

How do AI assistants decide which apps to recommend?+

When they browse, they search the web and read the top pages: "best apps" lists, reviews, Reddit and Quora threads, store listings and the apps' own websites. Without browsing, they rely on what they learned from those same kinds of pages. Either way, being clearly described on pages that rank and get cited is what puts an app in the answer.

How long until AI starts recommending my app?+

It varies, and nobody can promise a date. Assistants that browse can pick up a new page or list placement as soon as it ranks or gets cited. Answers based on training data move more slowly. That's why SuvyRank re-checks every week and shows you before vs now, per engine and per question.

Is this just SEO?+

It overlaps. Ranking in Google and Bing still matters because assistants read top results. But AI visibility adds things classic SEO tools ignore: what each assistant says about you, which pages it cites, whether its crawlers can read your site, and the lists and threads it trusts.

Do I have to approve everything?+

Yes, nothing goes out without you. Articles arrive as drafts you publish or schedule. Pitches and community replies are always drafts: you send and post them yourself (or the Suvysoft team does on Done-for-you).
